Meet the Teacher

Hi, I’m Ms. Slate,

I have worked with children for over 16 years as a mentor, tutor, teacher, and mom. I have a passion for children and each one I meet will always hold a special place in my heart!

In 2016 year my daughter Lillie and I relocated from Delaware to Newport News. I attended universities in Maryland and Delaware for my undergrad and graduate degrees.

I am very excited and hopeful for a successful school year. I look forward to getting to know your children as well as your families!
